Description from host: Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) recently announced the launch of a standalone federal pathway for the Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot (EMPP), which helps refugees and displaced people abroad immigrate to Canada through economic immigration pathways. The federal pathway features two streams: one that is open to individuals who have a job offer from a Canadian employer, and the other that is open to highly-skilled individuals without job offers.

The EMPP offers facilitation measures to remove major displacement-related barriers and make it easier for skilled refugees and displaced people to access economic immigration opportunities. For Canadian employers, the EMPP provides access to a new pool of qualified candidates to fill full-time job postings.

IRCC is pleased to offer new virtual learning sessions for refugee- and immigrant-serving organizations, Sponsorship Agreement Holder organizations, settlement service providers, and members of diaspora communities who wish to learn about the federal pathway, including eligibility criteria and how to apply.
