Summary of Climate Migration 101: An Explainer
This article discusses who qualifies as a "climate migrant", why there is not category for "climate refugee" and how and where climate change triggers migration. Climate migrants do not qualify for the definition of refugee protection. The lack of political will and complications in defining "climate refugee" makes it almost impossible to change the current Convention Refugee definition.
