Summary of Higher Education in Europe: A Pathway to Protection for Afghans
Through desk research and qualitative interviews, the European Council on Refugees and Exile explores higher education in Germany, France, Sweden, and the Netherlands as a protection pathway for Afghans at risk, including the existing programs, barriers to access, and ways forward.
Supporting refugee integration and mental health
Supporting refugee integration and refugee mental health are important goals in their own right, and a growing body of research suggests that they complement one another. Integration actors have an important role to play in supporting both.
The EUAA Resettlement and Humanitarian Admission (RST&HA) Network
EUAA supports the implementation of EU+ countries’ resettlement efforts in the framework of European resettlement schemes, in cooperation with the European Commission, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the United Nations Migration Agency (IOM) and other relevant actors.
Migrant Integration Policy Index (MIPEX)
The Migrant Integration Policy Index (MIPEX) is a data tool which measures policies to integrate migrants in countries across six continents, including all EU Member States (including the UK), other European countries (Albania, Iceland, North Macedonia, Moldova, Norway, Serbia, Switzerland, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine), Asian countries (China, India, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, United Arab Emirates), North American countries (Canada, Mexico and US), South American countries (Argentina, Brazil, Chile), South Africa, and Australia and New Zealand in Oceania. The project informs and engages key policy actors about how to use indicators to improve integration governance and policy effectiveness.
