Summary of the Refugee Newcomers’ Employment Transitions in Rural Nova Scotia: Policy Insights from Newcomers, Volunteers, and Employers

This study focuses on resettled Syrian refugees in rural areas of Nova Scotia and explores their employment transition experiences through language learning and employment. Three key themes emerges in this study: access to language learning, qualification recognition, and addressing barriers to employment (e.g., childcare, transportation).
