Summary of Private Refugee Sponsorship in Canada: 2021 Market Study

This report seeks to understand the potential market in Canada for private sponsorship of refugees, especially those who are not known or related to the sponsor(s). Through a survey of 3000 Canadians, with a household income of over $30,000, the report sought to understand who would be most likely to sponsor, where they tend to be located in Canada, and their motivations and barriers to sponsoring refugees to better understand how to effectively market private refugee sponsorship, particularly the BVOR program.
