Description:

This panel highlighted how divisions around refugees are often politically manufactured and amplified by media ecosystems that reward misinformation and emotional narratives. Speakers emphasized bipartisan accountability, culturally informed media literacy, and behavioural strategies for countering disinformation. Through personal storytelling, community sponsorship, and value-based dialogue, panelists underscored pathways to rebuilding trust, empathy, and constructive public engagement on refugee issues.
